π LOVING ALSO MEANS GETTING TIRED: CAREGIVER GUILT
Good morning, dear reader;
When you care for someone you love, you give your best:
- Your time.
- Your energy.
- Your presence.
And yet, there are moments when you feel tired.
Very tired.
And right after that feeling… something appears.
Guilt.
π “I shouldn’t feel this way”
π “If I really love them, I shouldn’t be this exhausted”
- 1. Love does not cancel exhaustion
π You can love deeply
π And still feel drained
These two things can exist together.
- 2. Guilt comes from unrealistic expectations
π The idea that you must always be strong
π Always available
π Always okay
But you are human.
- 3. Being tired does not make you a bad caregiver
π It makes you a real one
π One who feels
π One who gives
- 4. Your body and mind have limits
π Physical fatigue
π Emotional overload
Ignoring them only makes things harder.
- 5. You deserve care too
π Support
π Rest
π Understanding
- 6. Let go of self-judgment
π Speak to yourself with kindness
π Replace guilt with compassion
- 7. Taking care of yourself is not selfish
π It allows you to continue
π It protects your well-being
- 8. Remember this
Loving does not mean never getting tired.
π It means staying… while also taking care of yourself
When love and exhaustion meet, guilt may appear.
But you don’t have to carry it.
You can replace it with understanding.
With respect.
With care… for yourself too.
Receive a hug from the heart and remember to share.
