π WHEN GRIEF COMES IN WAVES
Good morning, dear reader;
Grief doesn’t disappear all at once.
It doesn’t follow a straight path.
It doesn’t gently fade day after day until it’s gone.
Instead… it moves in waves.
There are moments when you feel calm.
When you can breathe a little deeper.
When life seems to regain some of its rhythm.
And then, without warning…, a wave rises.
A memory returns.
A scent, a place, a simple moment…, and suddenly, everything feels close again.
The ache.
The absence.
The love.
As if time had folded in on itself.
And this can be unsettling.
“Why now?”
“I thought I was doing better…”
But this doesn’t mean you are going backwards.
It means your heart is still processing, still integrating, still honoring what was.
Grief comes in waves because love does not leave all at once.
At first, the waves may feel overwhelming.
Like they could pull you under.
But slowly, something within you grows.
You learn to stay present.
To breathe through the intensity.
To trust that each wave will rise… and then fall.
You don’t stop feeling.
But you begin to understand that you can feel deeply…
without losing yourself.
And in that understanding, a quiet strength appears.
A strength that allows you to carry both: the pain…, and the love that remains.
Receive a hug from the heart and remember to share.
