π§️ SURVIVING THE MEMORIES THAT APPEAR SUDDENLY
Good morning, dear reader;
There are memories that don’t ask for permission:
- They don’t knock.
- They don’t wait for the right moment.
- They simply appear.
In the middle of an ordinary day.
In a smell, a place, a song.
In something small… that suddenly becomes everything.
And in that instant, you are no longer here.
You are there.
Back in that moment.
Feeling it all over again.
The emotions return with force.
The sensations feel real.
And for a few seconds…, or minutes…, it can feel overwhelming.
As if time had folded in on itself.
And you wonder:
- Why now?
- Why like this?
But memories don’t follow logic.
They follow emotion.
They live in you, waiting to be felt, to be acknowledged, to be released… little by little.
Surviving them doesn’t mean pushing them away.
It means learning to stay present even when the past comes back.
To breathe through the wave instead of drowning in it.
To remind yourself:
This is a memory, not the present.
And I am safe now.
It’s not easy.
It takes practice.
It takes compassion.
But slowly, those sudden memories lose their power to break you.
They become part of your story…, not something that controls you.
And you begin to realize that you can feel deeply…, without losing yourself.
Receive a hug from the heart and remember to share.
