π WHEN KINDNESS TURNS INTO SELF-ABANDONMENT
Good morning, dear reader;
Kindness is beautiful — until it starts costing you pieces of yourself.
There’s a moment, often invisible, where helping becomes overgiving, where empathy becomes exhaustion, and where saying “yes” becomes a quiet way of saying “I don’t matter.”
Self-abandonment doesn’t happen all at once.
It happens slowly: when you silence your needs to keep the peace, when you minimize your pain so others feel comfortable, when you carry responsibilities that were never yours, when you apologize for things that don’t belong to you.
Kindness becomes self-abandonment when: you comfort others but never yourself, you offer patience you don’t receive, you hold space for everyone while your heart remains empty, you give until you disappear in the process.
True kindness includes you.
It protects your energy, honors your boundaries, and listens to your body’s whispers.
It doesn’t ask you to shrink so others can shine, nor does it demand that you sacrifice your emotional health to maintain harmony.
Real kindness is rooted in truth — not in fear of rejection, not in guilt, but in a love that flows from you, not against you.
When you stop abandoning yourself, your kindness becomes stronger, cleaner, more authentic.
Because it no longer stems from lack, but from fullness.
Receive a hug from the heart and remember to share.
