π±WHY DOES OSTEOARTHRITIS DEVELOP?
Good morning, dear reader;
Osteoarthritis is the most common form of arthritis, often called the "wear and tear" disease. It happens when the protective cartilage that cushions the ends of the bones breaks down over time, causing pain, stiffness, and loss of flexibility.
But osteoarthritis is not only about aging. Several factors can influence its development:
πΉ Age – the risk increases as we get older, but it can appear at younger ages too.
πΉ Genetics – family history can play a role.
πΉ Joint injuries – accidents or repetitive movements accelerate cartilage damage.
πΉ Excess weight – adds pressure on the joints, especially knees, hips, and spine.
πΉ Overuse – certain jobs or sports that strain the joints can contribute to early wear.
Osteoarthritis is progressive, but that does not mean hopeless. With movement, healthy habits, and conscious self-care, it is possible to reduce pain, protect the joints, and improve quality of life.
Receive a hug from the heart and remember to share.
