π»HOW MANY HOURS OF SCREEN TIME ARE HEALTHY?
Good morning, dear reader;
Screens are now in almost every part of our lives: work, learning, entertainment, and connection, but as much as technology empowers us, it also raises an important question: how much screen time is really healthy?
Experts suggest that for adults, limiting recreational screen use to about 2 hours a day is ideal, while children and teenagers benefit from even less. Beyond those limits, prolonged exposure often leads to eye strain, sleep disorders, sedentary habits, and even increased stress.
This doesn’t mean we should demonize screens. Instead, it’s about mindful use. Taking regular breaks, practicing the “20-20-20 rule” (every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds), and creating screen-free spaces — especially before bedtime — can protect both body and mind.
Healthy screen time isn’t just about counting hours. It’s about making sure digital life supports real life, rather than replacing it.
Receive a hug from the heart and remember to share.
