Good morning, dear reader; in today’s article, I want to talk to you about the importance of knowing how to stop. In this fast-paced world we’ve built, it seems frowned upon to do nothing, simply resting; it seems we have to be active all day, happy, socializing with everyone, going here and there, doing thousands of things every day — work, sports, socializing, hobbies, house chores, family...
DO NOTHING, JUST REST...
Don’t fall into the trap of thinking that doing nothing means doing nothing for yourself.
That being unproductive is unproductive for you.
We’ve gotten so used to being busy, so used to doing things with visible results, so used to tracking our steps and crossing things off our to-do lists, that we’ve forgotten the importance of rest.
“Doing nothing” and being “unproductive” are actually doing something productive.
They are helping you recharge your energy.
Recover.
Reading a magazine or taking a bath, or sitting in the garden with a cup of coffee is not a waste of time.
Rest time is not lost time.
We are not machines. We are not robots.
We are not here to work, move, and constantly do.
We are human beings.
And sometimes, we simply need to be.
Receive a hug from the heart and remember to share.
