π§️THE BRIGHT SIDE OF SADNESS
Good morning, dear reader.
Even if it seems incredible, sadness also has a bright side.
Most of us would give anything to banish sadness from our lives.
If that’s your case, you should know that doing so would come with serious side effects.
Running away from present sadness only leads to future suffering.
What is sadness trying to tell me through my body?
-
Sadness demands stillness and introspection.
-
My whole body feels weakened because it needs to save energy. It just wants me to stop and connect with what hurts, to dive into that tangled pain gripping my mind and heart.
-
Sadness is telling me that something needs to be resolved, and for that, it invites me to release suffering through tears, rest, and that deep reflection that helps me sort through thoughts and experiences.
What does sadness expect from me?
-
Sadness doesn’t want to live in a dark room—it wants me to open the door and have a conversation with it. If I drown it out, if I push it into the depths of my mind, it becomes like stagnant water that eventually smells bad and turns unhealthy.
-
Sadness needs oxygen; it wants open doors so it can be visited and heard. If I ignore it, it will only grow stronger.
-
But if I dare to speak to it each day, it will slowly shrink and eventually dissolve like smoke when a window is opened. And it won’t leave without giving me a valuable lesson and helping me see the horizon more clearly, so I can make new choices.
As you can see, even though sadness is not a pleasant emotion to feel, it brings us many gifts for our evolution.
Dare to feel it, embrace it, and listen to the message it brings next time it comes to visit.
A hug from the heart, and don’t forget to share. π
